Schmitty & Sons began back in 1941 when Wilfrid Schmitt “Schmitty” began driving for the Orchard Lake Co-Op, a local transit company.

Our mission has remained the same since 1952. The focus has always been on the customer experience: ensuring the best & safest transportation.

Schmitty & Sons is proud to be employee owned! In 2016, Schmitty & Sons became an ESOP (employee stock ownership plan).

Schmitty & Sons has been fortunate to receive industry awards for our dedication to safety and customer service.

Each time we grow our business, we bring our legacy of giving and service to the community around it through local partnerships and programs.
